From Fatigue to High Fidelity Alerting - eXtended Detection Response (XDR)

Zaheer Ebrahim
Sales Engineer, Trend Micro

EDR is only one piece of the whole detection and response puzzle. EDR is great, but it has limited reach as it only collects data on endpoints. Having integrated visibility across multiple security vectors is a top-priority item on the to-do list of any security operations centre (SOC). However, getting integrated visibility across multiple security vectors can lead to alert fatigue without reducing the meantime to detect (MTTD) and the meantime to contain (MTTC) metrics. This session will explore how XDR deals with alert fatigue and show how context-rich alerts help reduce MTTD and MTTC.
